Rum Drinks , Rum Recipes

Rum is a distilled spirit that is made from sugarcane by products such as molasses or directly from sugar cane juice. It is used to be considered as a pirate’s drink, because of the fact that it is produced in the Caribbean islands where there used to be a lot of pirates. But it was equally liked by British navy (when they were stationed there).There are various Rum drinks and Rum brands  available in the market .

Now days, rum are considered as one of the most popular drinks of the world. Light rums are mainly used in making cocktails or other drinks. On the other hand, dark rums are often consumed individually.

The most famous drinks that are made from rum are as follows:

AD's drops

Ingredients:
1 oz dark rum, 1 oz vanilla liquor, 1/2 orange, 1/2 vanilla bean which is split lengthwise and grapefruit juice

                      

Recipe:

1.       First of all you have to peel an orange and then have to cut it half into pieces.

2.       Rip a whole vanilla bean into two halves

3.       jumble one part of vanilla bean with the orange pieces in a tall glass

4.       Add ice, rum and vanilla liquro to it

5.       Then fill up the glass with grapefruit juice

Garnish: You can garnish it with a slice of orange and couple of lemon leaves.

American Flyer

Ingredients:

1/2 oz. Light Rum, 1/4 oz. Fresh Lime Juice, 1/2 tsp. sugary Syrup, and you can also use a bit of Champagne

Recipe:

1.       Combine rum, lime juice and sugary syrup  with ice in a shaker and shake well

2.       You can put all the mixture in a tall glass.

3.       Then fill the remaining glass with Champagne

American pie

Ingredients:

1 and a half oz. Rum, 3 oz. Lime Juice, 1/2 oz. 7-up, 1 tbsp. Grenadine , Sprite or 7up(your preference)

Recipe:

1.       Fill a tall glass with crushed ice

2.       Pour in rum in the glass

3.       Add lime juice and grenadine to it

4.       Put some 7-Up or sprite in it

5.       And stir well

Apple Pie Shot

Ingredients:

1/2 oz. Spiced Rum, 1/2 oz. Apple Juice, Whipped Cream and Cinnamon

Recipe:

This is a very simple drink to make. You have to pour apple juice into shot glass, followed by your favorite spiced rum drinks, and then in the end you can put in whipped cream and cinnamon.
